When should you convert HEIC to JPG?

HEIC is the default photo format on Apple devices, and many Android phones, older Windows computers, and web upload forms cannot open it without an extra app. Converting HEIC to JPG gives you a file that opens in virtually every app, email client, and photo editor — no plugin needed.

Will JPG be smaller than my HEIC?

Not always. JPG size depends on the original photo and the quality setting the converter uses. We do not promise a smaller file.

Does converting to JPG reduce quality?

Yes. JPG is a lossy format. Converting cannot restore detail that was already lost when the HEIC was created.

Will my location or camera information be kept?
