A useful trade-off
Why choose JPG?
JPG is widely supported for sharing, email, websites, and everyday apps. It uses lossy compression, so it may not preserve every pixel from the decoded HEIC. Choose PNG instead when you need transparency or a PNG workflow. Convert HEIC to PNG

Questions, answered
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are processed locally in your browser. Read our Privacy details.
How many files can I convert at once?
Up to 20 files, 25 MB each, and 100 MB per batch. High-resolution photos use more memory.
Will JPG be smaller than my HEIC?
Not always. JPG size depends on the original photo and the quality setting the converter uses. We do not promise a smaller file.
Does converting to JPG reduce quality?
Yes. JPG is a lossy format. Converting cannot restore detail that was already lost when the HEIC was created.
Will my location or camera information be kept?
No. The converter removes photo metadata by default, including GPS, camera, and date-taken data.
Can Windows open the JPG file?
Yes. JPG is widely supported. See the Windows guide.
